    Rocker switch power

I just installed some interior ambient lighting and will be installing Rock Lights. I don’t want to plug into the 12v socket. Any easy suggestions for rocker switches and where I splice into the 12v power? Appreciate the advice

Do you want the switches to work without the key in the ignition? When you say you don't want to plug into the cigarette lighter, do you mean that literally? Or do you mean you don't want to tap the power behind the 12 volt outlet?

I used one of these to splice into an ignition power source for my air locker compressor. I can't remember exactly but im pretty sure I spliced it into the positive behind the cig lighter.

Edit: just checked my build thread and yes I tapped into the cig lighter positive for ignition power so basically my locker compressor will not turn on unless I have the key on.

Sorry. Yes I do not want to keep the plug in my cigarette lighter. I would like to tap into it if I can.

The ignition power wire is under the dash. It’s pink with a white line I think. That’s what I tapped into. No issues.

“wayoflife” is a moniker that I’ve been using for 20 years now and I chose it because I think it does a great job of explaining, in simple terms, the passion I have for Jeeps and the Jeep way of life. This is a lifestyle that transcends age, gender and race as the only thing you need to be a part of it is a love for the outdoors, a desire to explore, a yearning to take on a challenge and a will to conquer it. Over the years, Cindy and I have attempted to capture the essence of this lifestyle through photographs and videos and share it with others around the world. And, this is how WAYALIFE was born.
