After a week of wheeling, noticed this on right rear control arm bracket, axle end. Axle bump stop prevented bolt from coming completely out. What I can't understand is even if I did not properly torque the bolt, how did the flag nut disappear? And notice how side plates of mount are not parallel now, outer one is twisted. Just glad bump stop kept bolt from falling out.

No idea what you did, but I still have a box of bolts from when we did the axle swap. Probably a flag nut in there somewhere. Let me know.

Bolt still in good shape. Cranked another nut on there with some loctite. Pulled side plates together against inner spacer of the joint. It is a 'little twisted' but think it will work. I am thinking loctite might have been in order from the git go, and maybe this would not have happened. Of course the other option was that I did not properly torque the bolt, more likely option.

FYI: H8ROADS had this happen to him and the mount actually broke off. Same one. Might be worth keeping an eye on!!

OK, it's Jerry's fault, Ha! Followed him half a day.

You are brave to follow me. Or Greer for that matter 👍

I had one of my control arm bolts come loose also, on one of the Calico trips last year. Mine was an upper, and when I found it missing a nut while airing up, I didn't have a nut that size, so I wired it in to get home.

One more thing to check on after a trip now. Along with lug nuts.

The good news is with a 4 link plus track bar, one link can come loose, or even break in two, and you can still limp in for a repair. I completely broke a rear lower last year on a run. Madi it to camp and got it welded with a splint made from a piece of flat stock
