I am running 35s on my 2019 JL Sahara. Are new axels necessary? Most of my driving is highway during the day. I live in a place with terrible storms and bad roads so my off-roading typically dealing with snow and bad roads for my work.

Not unless you are going for much bigger tires and a lift. Stock gearing is dandy for a stock Jeep.
