Rubicon July 2nd

Anyone up to run the Rubicon on July 2nd. Im in South Lake Tahoe for the week and I wanna hit the con while I'm here. I'm not camping just running straight through in a day.

Good luck. The Tahoe side is still snowed in.

Watch for snakes too. Read online someone got bit by a rattler near buck island.

I checked out the entrance from Tahoe I didnt see much snow but didnt go in very far. Didnt have anyone with me so it was a test. Might look at hitting the Georgetown side in the morning.

Ran the Rubicon today. Started on the Tahoe side at 11:10, rolled out of Loon lake aired up by 4:30p. Trail was in good shape I didnt really see any snow there were a few more water puddles/ponds than I remember along the way. Traffic was not too bad but getting thicker as we were leaving. We had to stop 4 times for parties to pass. Rubicon Springs and Buck Island were filling up. Probably passed anoth 15 rigs coming in as we were heading to hwy 50.
