I noticed on the videos and instructions you must cut and remove the front crossmember to install the bumper. Does this make it weaker since the bumper is bolt in and acting in place of a crossmember that is welded in? Just curious to know.

You just cutoff the lower horns, nothing to do with support really...

That bar is for support for the factory bumper. And it is thin stamped steel. The quarter pounder is 1/4” steel. It’s way stronger.
