Wheel Well Trimming!

This is a subject that makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up... I hate it. I hate everything about cutting parts of the body off.

In one of the last Wayalife videos I watched, Moby got a little trim in the back for more clearance. Interested to see how far they went!

I am curious how much others have done.

Currently with my 40" Procomp MT2's that measure 38.5" I have trimmed enough that they only hit in one spot at full articulation. (see pic below) I also seem to unscrew the turn signal bulb now and again on the drivers side. Not sure if I can spin that thing around so it points the other way or what.

I have been looking at another set of tires that measure a true 40". So I am going to need to open things up a little more.

Post pictures of what you have cut out!

Here is where it currently hits:

Take out the grinder and close your eyes. Make cuts and you should be good.

Seriously though, you have a lot more to cut.

What is the general consensus on the max tire size you can go without trimming any of the body? 35s?

Was planning on 3.5". Don't mean to hijack the thread, and I can start a separate thread if needed. Thanks!!
