JT- Electrical Plug under driver side cowl - What is it for?

I have looked everywhere for the answer and I can't figure this out. On my JTR, under the driver side cowl, there is a wire with what looks like an Anderson plug but I think it is another type of plug. Does anyone know what it is? Thanks in Advance.

I might of found the answer. I pulled the cowl on my wife's JLRU and that plug is connected on hers to what looks like something to do with the advanced safety package / Adaptive Cruise control that is mounted to the rear view mirror on the windshield. I dont have that option, it is just capped with a plug. Not sure if the power going to that area is alive or not on non- acc equipped jeeps. I can test it with my multi-meter if anyone needs to know if it has power.

About us
“wayoflife” is a moniker that I’ve been using for 20 years now and I chose it because I think it does a great job of explaining, in simple terms, the passion I have for Jeeps and the Jeep way of life. This is a lifestyle that transcends age, gender and race as the only thing you need to be a part of it is a love for the outdoors, a desire to explore, a yearning to take on a challenge and a will to conquer it. Over the years, Cindy and I have attempted to capture the essence of this lifestyle through photographs and videos and share it with others around the world. And, this is how WAYALIFE was born.
