Dome light issues

Hey so I started out with the factory halogen dome lights that are garbage and soon replaced them with led bulbs. After a few years they started to flicker and tonight the middle one on the passenger side went out, so I figured it was a loose bulb. As I went to reseat the passenger bulb things happened, sparks flew and a small flame was produced, I forgot to disconnect the battery!! So now the factory dome light assembly is toasted which just gives me an excuse to buy some KC cyclones for dome light use instead!
My question is, should I go with a clear or diffused lens?

I’d go with diffused. It should help disburse the light through the interior.

You have to disconnect the battery to change a lightbulb in the dome light? [emoji848]

Cyclones are bright as shit... way to bright for a dome light IMHO
