Rimd Width for BFG KO2 35" ??

Greetings,

Would appreciate input. Moving from stock JKU Rubi '15, with 33's on stock rims (7.5" width), to 35s. Running KO2s currently, expect to simply go to KO2s in the 35" size.

For 35" KOs, BFG specifies rim widths from 8.5-11".

What are some of the pros/cons between smaller and wider widths? Some concerns that come to mind are even tire wear, impact on backspace recommendations.

Bonus question: Thoughts on tire widths for that tire, that size?

Most wheels that are out there are 8.5” to 9”. You are fine running either width.

Are you thinking about going to a bead lock?

For 35s, I’d just run a 12.5” tire.

Good question. No on beadlocks.

12.5's where I expect I'll end up. But given there may be something I hadn't thought of, wanted to put it out there.
