Posted on JLWrangler but wanted to post here as well.

What’s everyone using for a phone mount in their JL? Looking at all options for Morgan to mount her phone while driving. She would probably prefer to keep it off the windshield for visibility. Thanks for all your solutions in advance!
 
I used a CMM (Carolina Metal Masters) ball mount and a RAM X grip, kinda pricey but I like it. Been using it every day for over a year now, only complaint is it takes two hands to take the phone in and out.

Its an Iphone 6+ (or 7+) I think, its in a LifeProof case which adds some size to it.

I have Iphone 8 Plus.I don't know about the 11,but the jaws expand pretty wide.I could measure if you want.
 
No pic and not a new Jeep, but I have one of the cheaper no name amazon plastic ones with the side grab and wireless charger built into it. Seems to hold great. Hasn’t dropped the phone yet on Michigan roads, which is essentially off-roading 🤷🏻*♂️

If the Jeep is going to be off roaded, nothing will beat the Design67 system. I have the Vector E- bar bolted in dash and Design67 mounts. I think they are over priced... however I tried many mounts, and phones, or cameras do NOT MOVE at all with 67.
If not off roading, Ioti makes a real good holder that I use in my work van and on my Goldwing...fyi
