No. A check engine light is almost always an emissions issue. A bad TIPM would prevent you from starting your engine.

A bad fuel cap will also cause the check engine light come on

When was the last time you changed or checked your plugs?
may also have a failed or failing coil
Changed plugs 20 k miles ago. Coils are original and not throwing a check engine light
Only happens after I’ve been driving for 40 min or longer

did you also change the PCV valve and did you check the O2 sensors?
I had to take my JK to an automotive shop to find out O2 sensor was bad, no check engine light or codes

Thought it was the fuel pressure relay inside the TIPM but it turned out to be the crank position sensor that was dropping off intermittently and once we replaced it we’re all good. Thx for the suggestions!!!
