So this was kind of lame. This afternoon, I opened the door to my Jeep JL Wrangler and found this - a limp seat lifter lever.

After taking things apart, I found that one of the 2 bolts that hold it in place had come completely out and the other was just hanging in there by a thread or two.

Anyway, I thought I would share this here just in case anyone else has noticed their seat lifter lever getting loose. Even if not, I might recommend you preemptively give these bolts a look as they are specialized and it would suck to loose one or both of them.

I guess this would effect short people more than tall. Lol I’ve never used this one any of my jeeps other than to make sure it’s all the way down lol

Is there a kit or is the joke threaded?

Well shit that sucks. You would think that they wouldn't come lose on a 2 year old jeep

Yeah, it's pretty lame for sure. I can't say that I've ever had this problem on any of our JK's.

LOL - yeah, Cindy uses it whenever we go wheeling so ours gets used but really, I would have thought the damn thing would have been made to be used. The bolt is only threaded part way. The shank part sits in between the handle. I think I may put a dab of blue loctite on them.

I'll look at ours. We're short people so we use it. Several times we've noticed that it has to be readjusted when we get in (like it doesn't stay where we set it). Not sure if it's the same cause but I'll take a look.

I was thinking loctite too.
