JL - Rugged Ridge Max Terrain fender flares

CalSgt

Hooked
Has anyone seen these in person yet? They are going for $599 a full set with LED DRL's included.

These seem like a decent alternative to buying OEM Rubicon fender flares, it costs about $350 each for rear factory fenders and I'm sure the fronts are double that with the DRL's in them...

I think Eddie posted these from SEMA last year. Starts at 9:00 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y86aihY5nz8&feature=emb_logo
IIRC they were prototypes at that time. They are sharp.

I also like the American Adventure Lab ones too but wanted to wait a couple years to see how they hold up. https://americanadventurelab.com/product/jeep-jl-high-line-fender-brace-with-daytime-running-lights/
I think with the AAL ones you have to ditch your inner liners though.

Edit. You can trim your inners with the AAL lights.

I’m leaning this way with a inner trim as the RR ones still I don’t think are available to order???

Their site says shipping is in 1-4 weeks. Pretty wide range but I'd take that as a yes, they're available. I'm torn. I like both. The AAL has a coolness factor with the way the lights work sequentially, but the RR version seems more of a finished look.

I’m still waiting on just the brackets and lights to be available. Don’t want the full fenders but still a good option if you want a OEM look.

I've almost bought those AAL ones like 3 times now, but I just keep wanting to hold out for the RR ones. I think the light is a little thicker on the RR one, which I like more; But I'm not entirely sure. Hopefully those stand alone kits like Eddie has will be coming to market soon, and can maybe get a better comparison.

Freaking ridiculous how long it’s taking. Especially considering they now have this full fender kit....but not the modified with just the lights. What’s it been, two years?

I have color matched fenders and like the look, so just wanting a quality LED update.

Yea seems like a lot of JL stuff has been slow rolling, but I'm sure Covid as stalled these but who knows. I agree, I'm keeping my color match, I currently have LED lights but like the trimmer look

Try buying anything made over seas right now. What use to take 2 weeks to get our products is taking 3 months.

Yeah, that isn’t helping I’m sure. Must be hard for you to know how much to order and when.
