That 70's Thread

I was inspired by JKBrick today to start this thread. I am a proud child of the 70's, the best, baddest, most fun decade to have grown up in ever. This is dedicated to all of the fun, stupid, outrageous, corny, and just plain badass shit we did.

Being from Pittsburgh was the absolute best time to be a Steelers fan. Jack Lambert and the Steelers of the70's summed up in one clip.

For you Brute. Real DB's and WR's played with stickum instead of faggy silicone grip gloves

We played with Hot Wheels

And Cox Cars. Here kids, go play with some gas 😂

Our pop and beer cans opened like this.

Drank Coke from a glass bottle

Took our lunch in a real lunch box if you were lucky. The smell when you opened it at lunch to get your PB& J was sublime.
And NO ONE was allergic to goddam peanut butter. :rolleyes2:

Going to McDonalds was the absolute bomb because you only went once a month.

We only had 5 or 6 TV stations that went off the air around midnight only after playing the National Anthem and then displayed this test signal with an obnoxious siren-like sound until
they came back on the air in the morning

The braless look started in the 70's :brows:

And guys with elephant balls did fire burnouts at the drag races

Not sure where the hell this pic came from but here's another can :D

Awesome thread. Being from the 80s, I have no idea what you’re talking about [emoji6] but we did have candy cigarettes that blew smoke. Seems kinda crazy now.

Thanks Ddays. Great revival of a bygone decade. I'm going to have to pull out some old photo albums now.
And to think I survived all those disco nights without a rubber.

Awesome thread! I was just talking about the sea monkeys to my wife. Found them on the comic books. Remember the Star Wars baseball cards in yellow, black, green and red borders with the bubble gum?

Awesome thread Jerry. I only had 3 years in that decade, but they were three wonderful years. So many memories!

We played with those but never threw them at the lawn...haha. Probably one of the reasons why they stopped selling them.
Used to play with slot car tracks all the time. Build the cars switch motors all kinds of stuff.
