Synergy Wheel Spacers

I saw this on Tumblr. Has anyone ever seen this happen with wheel spacers? What do you think would cause this? All that I've read, never heard or seen this with any wheel spacer. I'm just curious.

Yikes! Probably from not keeping stuff tight like youre supposed to. Ive heard of failures, but thats the first pics Ive seen. Thats pretty scary!!

Being that the factory studs broke and not the spacer's, I'd have to say installer error. The guy failed to tighten the lug nuts to the proper torque setting and/or check them afterwards as is required.

Looks like someone needs to learn where to use lock tight and to check their lug nuts and the secondary ones also.

Improper torque spec.

95ft lbs. Blue loctite. Everytime!
