It made me laugh a bit that the couple that climbed out of this joke were wearing as much bling as their car (yes, I use that word intentionally) and they were picking up food from my church food pantry. I don't judge without knowing a story and recognize that circumstances can lead people to have unexpected needs, but it still makes me chuckle a bit.

People make stupid decisions in life and buy stuff like a $30k+ car and "bling" rather than putting food on the table. So then they have to rely on handouts from the nice people at your church or from government handouts paid for by people like me. Or worse yet they choose to live that way (i.e. sucking off some free tit) so they can buy more crap like that ugly POS abortion of car.

i agree. i have people in my area that do the same sh!t. makes me mad just thinking about it.

Yeah, but see, that is what church is all about: recognizing that you've made mistakes, that its going to take God's grace to fix your mistakes and that you can't cut it on your own.

I grew up on the receiving end of God's provision through the church body and watched my mom continue to give out of the little we had to those who were struggling. I worked hard to get where I am today, but I know that it's taken a lot of God's faithfulness to make it happen. The pittance we bring home in salary doesn't account for where we are financially....and you'd think me a fool if you knew how much we give away.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no "Joel Osteen" God's making me rich cuz I visualized it and I pray so He's giving it to me! nutbag... I have no expectations, but I know where my resources come from and recognize that I'm a steward of them.

Like you, I have NO patience for leeches. Even socialism requires ALL to pitch in before they start taking out

There is a family at my kids' school that drives a lifted Excursion with 35's and aftermarket wheels. Their kids, and the lazy-ass dad who apparently does not work, eat free breakfast at the school every day. The kids each free lunch.

Freeloaders make me effin' sick.

There is more to a story than just what is seen. As Moby Jr has stated those of the hard working class have grown tired of supporting the leaches of society. However there are those in the Military who do what they do to protect the freedoms of this Great Nation and one of those freedom is the ability for everyone to speak their mind and to challenge the government when there is a problem. So if you do not like the current government leaders then do your Constitutional Right and vote them out. One of the reason the current administration is still in is because of the hand outs and all the free stuff. Which we know there is never anything free, someone always pays.
Lets just say this family needed assistance and had to borrow a vehicle to get said hand out. The only friend or family member willing to assist offered them the use of the heart burn Hummer. Who knows they may have received this as a gift because it was so hideous.
I know when I stand before my God Himself I can say here are my mistakes and here is where I tried to be better. Who knows this one trip to the local churches food bank just might be the wake up call this family needs.
If you really want to get good and mad find your military installation and look at the poverty the junior Sailors, Soldiers, Marines and Airman. These young men and women live below the poverty line and provide for a family and put their lives in harms way.
Now you have me on my soap box and will flex my way off so I do not damage the rocker panels.
