Is anyone attending the pirate Jeep jamboree in Shamokin, PA this weekend (06-06 & 06-07)

I was looking into going to one over here in big bear a while back and it was $200 a person. As I had 2 others with me it made more since to go wheel elsewhere and spend that money on the jeep. I hear nothing but good things though.

Yeah I'm pretty sure this is a "gotta do it once" sort of thing. I'm bringing the whole family though. And it's for that reason that I like all the accommodations taken care of.

Jamboree was great. We met a ton of great people and learned a lot in the process. Not to mention the 20 hrs of wheeling in 2 days. The only carnage suffered was a dented front bumper. Perfect chance to make it a stubby though.

The property is great too. About 35 min from rausch creek and MUCH bigger. They have the potential for 14k acres. The park is still in its infancy. The welcome center is being built in the fall.

how many acres are they sitting on? i know Rausch has 31,000 accessable to them

Right now it 14. But reading anthracite will be letting them use almost triple that. Just awaiting paperwork.
