Some friends just got back from Ouray and said all the trails they did, including Black Bear and Imogene were open and dry. Haven't seen first hand, though.

Thanks for info........was just wondering how dry it is with all the fires a couple of months ago.....didn't know if they are getting more rain or not. Didn't want to see a bunch of brown vegetation...

Was in Ouray a couple of weeks ago. EVERYTHING is open and dry. Last summer was extremely dry with lots of dust on the trails. This year is more like normal with daily showers which keep the trails near perfect with good traction and no dust. The temps were in the high 70's and low 80's in the high country. You're going at the best time of the year. Enjoy!!:yup:

Im here now. Dry as a bone, and yes, before anyone asks, I drove from NJ to Colorado to get some decent wheeling....mallcrawling and mudpits aren't for me. Wildflowers are RAMPANT....especially the descent into Ouray from Telluride on Imogene. I will be posting a WAYALIFE style trip report when I get back home next Tuesday.

I have a buddy who goes there every year with his FSJ club. He raves about the place. I cannot wait to take the family there for a vacation and some wheeling.
