How do you add a fuse by the battery terminal?

Very nice write up. Easy to follow for someone like me, who has very limited experience with this stuff. Thank you!

I even spliced in the mini fuse near the battery.

What size fuse do you recommend? It came with a 15a fuse, but that seems too much for what this draws.

Also, the fuse wire is considerably thicker (12awg) than the CB wire. Any downside to that?

Thread revivalllll! Haha. Ok so I know pretty much nothing about cb installations aside from reading threads like this....I'm looking to install a cobra 75 in my jku and am wondering if I have all the components, aside from the actual radio unit, I need on my shopping list which are the following:

18' RG-58A/U Coaxial Cable With Pl-259 Connectors https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001JT0CGI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_IjdhDbCBNDX41

FireStik FS-4BK 4 (r) Ii Fs Series Tunable Tip Cb Antenna - 900 Watts Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004HMC6PO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_-jdhDbAYNCZJ4

And I know I need an antenna mount which i haven't picked out yet. Do I need the antenna spring or anyting else like that?? Thanks guys.

For the Firestick you’ll want a cable with the FireRing connection on the antenna side. The one you show here has 2 PI-259 connectors and I don’t know of a way to connect that to your firestick. And you don’t NEED an antenna spring but can certainly add one if you wish. If you’re gonna have your antenna sticking way up you may want to add the spring so you aren’t snagging it on brush or tree limbs or anything.
