Approximately 60 miles east of Barstow, CA, there is a nice wide valley situated between the Cady and Bristol Mountains out in the Mojave Desert . Within this valley, there lies a nice long playa known as the Broadwell Dry Lake that measures approximately 4 miles in length and 1.5 miles in width. During one of our annual WAYALIFE New Years kick off runs, 35 Jeep JK Wranglers from the forum came out to visit this ancient lake bed and for fun, drove the length of it as fast as their Jeeps could go. With dust plumes streaming from their tires like contrails from a jet, the scene was absolutely surreal and one to remember.
