    It's in NC, but relatively close to the border of TN. Just search for Mount Mitchell State Park.

    Land Between the Lakes is in KY and TN and is closer to you. It has some good dark sky spots too.

    Ha, I am actually driving to Kentucky this weekend for my wife's spring brake from school. I wish I can take my Jeep but my ball joints are toast..... will be replacing them next week.
    Then I am doing doing Smokey Mountains summer time in the Jeep.
