ABS jumps in when breaking

Hello,
I would like to ask for advice on whether someone has encountered a similar problem like me. When braking, the ABS system lightly jumps into the brake pedal. The problem occurs irregularly. He can ride it, but it's unpleasant. The Jeep does not show any error messages and no problem is seen on diagnostics. All bearings and ABS sensors were replaced on the vehicle, all ABS wiring and control unit were already tested, the ABS / ESP / TCS firmware updated. My service technician, a Jeep electronics specialist, is unfortunately not aware of this and suggests replacing almost the entire system including complete cabling.

Thanks for any advise,
Tomas

Is your steering wheel centered?

Does the Jeep pull while braking causing you to counter steer?

Is your Jeep lifted at all?

Steering wheel is centred. Jeep lifted 3,5" since 2010. No pulling when breaking. ABS just jump in and disappear, then breaking as ussualy

Have you added any extended brake lines at all recently? Have you had the ABS system bleed?

Brake line exteneded as part of the AEV lift 7 years ago. ABS system was bleeded too now. Also braking pads changed. Rotors were not changed this time.

Not sure if this will help but worth a try. How's the tire wear or tread depth on each tire? I noticed I was experiencing the same issue when I did a tire rotation using my spare tire (more tread than the rest). It went away for me when I rotated the spare out.

That was also my concern. I have measured hight of each tire and they are almost the same +/- 1-2mm. In the past, when I had my old Cooper STT weared a lot, ABS system did not work at all - ABS light pop up. But it is not this case now :-(

This might be my problem. I have three newish tries and two tires I rotate in that are about half tread wear from alignment issue.

You will feel the abs through the brake pedal sometimes during hard breaking or in slippery conditions when you start to slide on ice

That is the function of ABS. But not my case. I feel ABS even when I only touch the brake pedal before the brakes start braking at all ... :-( No slippery surface, no hard braking

ABS control unit faulty :-( They tested it already with good results. Now, they have tried to swap this unit from another Jeep and everthing is OK now - no ABS issue anymore. Need to buy new ABS unit and I will be fine.
