Over the last couple weekends I removed my rear axle shafts in preparation for installing new Revolution Gear shafts, replaced my ball joints with Dynatrac ball joints, replaced the front axle shaft seals (left side was leaking, figured why not do both while I'm in there), replaced the spark plugs and did an oil change. Almost forgot that I replaced the parking brake lever and ripped out all my carpet.
Set up and ready to tear into it.
Rear shafts out.
Plugged the holes while I wait for my new shafts.
Thank god for PB Blast!
My new slide hammer. Goddam corrosion!
Front end parts removed.
New ball joints in.
Diff carrier removed.
Seals out.
In with the new and sealed up.
Back to normal.
Couldn't have done it without my copilot!
Gotta bust some rust and paint some stuff still. This winter was brutal on all the exposed metal. Should be back in business by the weekend (fingers crossed my shafts get here this week!)
