At full droop there is 5" of the 8" of total spline length exposed. Sitting at ride height 3" of splines are exosed.

Typically doesn't the DS shorten when the axle droops?

Sent from my 2PYB2 using WAYALIFE mobile app

Typically you are correct, but look at his suspension arms. They are longer than the driveshaft.

On our JKs the control arms are shorter than the driveshaft, so as the axle droops, the driveshaft shortens.

With arms longer than the driveshaft, the axle moves on a wider arc than the driveshaft, causing it to stretch out.

That's why I brought it up.

Lol. Geometry for the win. I didn't notice or even think about the length of the arms.

Did some painting on the roll cage and made some supports for the cowl.

Pulled a dent out of the front bumper and capped the ends off. Made a grill support that won't interfere with the coilovers. Started fixing the hole in the fire wall where the cage transitions into the shock hoops.

Driver's side is done. I'll grinder everything clean once I've finished with the whole fire wall.

Typical Washington weather, raining until next May. It gave me a chance to get some work done on filling the holes I cut in the fire wall.

Finished and painted both sides of the firewall and started on the floor pans. The new pieces need a little tweaking on the fit.

I cut a roof and cut some new floor pans and tweaked the new and old ones for fit. The transmission dipstick needed a support since it's so long, about 4 feet long!

Looks great. Nice to see some paint on there.

I have that same circuit breaker. Had it for about 2 years or more, no issues, works great.
