BUILDING a DYNATRAC PROROCK 44 : A Close Up Look at How an Awesome Front Axle is Made

Lots of interesting details in this. Thanks for putting it together. Makes me thankful of the investment I made in my PR44 for my JK. No longer have to even think about whether my front axle is up to the task. Looks like the same quality and engineering went in the JL version.

Have to say, that's one of the cooler videos I've seen in awhile. Very informative and awesome to see the process. Amazing how they build it all from scratch right there. Very much looking fwd to the gearing video and thoughts as well. Makes me want to go break my front JL axle lol.

He certainly can be proud of those welds!

I would be. Hell, I am just for being able to see them be laid down :cheesy:

Pretty impressive setup in that shop. Awesome video!

Oh and working on an axle on a bench is so much easier than on the Jeep. Lol

LOL!! What a difference a bench makes :D

Awesome video! Great collaboration with Dynatrac! Kudos to both you and Jim!

Thank you, we're so glad you enjoyed our video :)

Thanks for sharing this. Definitely appreciate the quality of these axles. These guys are at the top of their game. Your use/abuse has surely demonstrated their abilities! So much want:

It really is nice to know that they're so confident in the quality of their products that they literally have nothing to hide.

Dang! If there’s such a thing as axle porn, I just watched it...

That was awesome! I guess faster desert speeds coming up for Jet Li[emoji16]

LOL!! Thank you and yes, we are hoping to up our game :)

Oh yeah, the JK was the reason the ProRock 44 was made. :thumb:

That was f’n Great! ... “How it’s Made” ain’t got nothing on you. Lol... Learned a lot. [emoji481]

LOL!! Thank you, you're too kind :)

LOL!! How about we just think about it breaking but just replace it when you can afford to
So glad you enjoyed the video :)

Much better plan lol..I actually hope to save for 60s before anything breaks, but if needed a PR44 is what I'll happily get!

Another great video - best content in the Jeep community by far. Curious where you mounted the compressor for the ARB locker.

Another great video

I’m watching in parts and loving yet another excellent video. I wish more manufactures were willing to go into as great of detail on their product and show such an in depth look at how things are pieced together. I’m still waiting for my JL to arrive later this month and I’m already dreaming of new axles. I’m gonna be back in payment land for a while waiting, but their axles are at the top of my list of post-payment upgrades... Thanks yet again for taking the time to provide my favorite type of entertainment! oh and for raffling off shot glasses!

Great video. Was surprised to see RCV, but understand wanting the PR44 now and having to get what was available. You two have really been posting a lot of videos lately, thank you for your hard work and sharing them with us.

The 5.13's are a nice addition in that they give you a lot more power off the line. Crawling is really nice as well. The down side to them is that you will loose some MPG and passing on the highway is a bit harder to do. We'll make a video about all this.

I was watching the video and thinking, I'm gonna have to ask eddie about this, I guess they beat me to it...

BTW, did they build your PR44 with OEM caster or did they make it like the JK unlimited housing with additional caster?

Guys like Steve and Matt have been there for longer than that. And, what's awesome about all these guys is that they love their jobs, take real pride in their work and care about the axles they're making. Granted, this all comes at a price but it is what you get from a company that prides itself in MADE IN THE USA. :usa-flag:

:cheesy: Well, I didn't know that 60's were what you had your eyes on. :thumb:

Well, since you asked, I have designed a bracket that gets mounted under the hood. I'm trying to work out the details to see if I can't have them made so that I can sell them. :yup:

This was an awesome video. Really cool seeing the PR44 being assembled in detail.

So glad you enjoyed it

LOL!! Hopefully you'll never need new axles but if a need ever arises, I think it's good to know there's an option available that you can trust will be the best :)

More manufacturers aren't willing because most of them have their stuff made in China.

Sooo, will anything different be done for the JT?

In terms of a ProRock 44?

Very informative video, and cool to see a Dynatrac axle built. Great video, keep it up.

So glad to hear you enjoyed it :)

LOL - yes we have and I think we're gonna have to slow up just a tad so that we can catch up on some sleep. I guess we were just super excited about this project and eager to share our videos with all of you.

All ProRock 44's come with built in 6° of caster. Or, at least that I know of. :yup:

If your first choice wasn't RCV axles what would have been?

If they were available, I would have preferred to have gotten the standard u-joint style chromoly shafts that Dynatrac offers with full circle clips.
