Yeah, it was pretty fun in stock trim. I beat the hell out of it until the head gasket went. That’s when I decided to go full bore on a build. I “built” the 1.8 Isuzu 4 banger up to a bored out 2.0 with a Isky cam, weber carb, and a pacesetter header. Looking back, I wish I would have poured that $$ into a Jeep!

Those things are beasts. It’s amazing when you see one still on the road... provided it’s not a copy.

They’re everywhere here in Italy. Aot of GIs taking them back to the states here lately, especially the diesel models.

My first 4x4 was a Series 3 '74 LR...in 1985...the Hawaiian salt took it 10 years later...
