Pretty neat area and cool video bringing us along.

Every time you guys talk about lake beds all I think about is the whiskey trip before getting into middlegate when you said it felt like brownies and then Cindy got buried up to the frame. Lol

:cheesy: Yeah, I don't think I'll ever live that one down. A lot of the maps of the refuge including the one they offer at the visitor center doesn't even show the road going all the way through. It stops at either end of the dry lake and there are signs that warn travelers about crossing it and with photos of people buried in the muck. Fortunately, it was actually dry when we got there but without higher clearance, I could totally see how people could still get stuck in the deep silty ruts. Even when we were there, we knew there was a chance we'd have to double back at this point.

Awesome video. When you jokingly gave the name of the dry lake bed I paused the video to look it up thinking you were being legitimate 🤣.

LOL - I know it's crazy but that's what it's actual name is.

Awesome, yet another trip to add to Laurie and I’s growing list. Great video as always! Thank you! House goes up for sale tomorrow, the clock keep ticking down!

Awesome! Looking forwarding to having you out here

Wonderful video. I miss these scenes that remind me why I own a Jeep. there is more to wheeling than just crawling an obstacle. Sometimes we need to explore for the sake of appreciating the wonderful world out there with family. Keep em coming. Hope to see you out there again.

Cindy and I love rock crawling and taking on tough obstacles but that's not what got us into Jeeps. What you see in this video is. :yup:

very cool!

When I was younger and had my CJ, friends and I would explore Nevada from the Utah side.

We would get topo maps from the USGS, stock up on food and water, few jerrycans of fuel and go exploring.

It was always cool to find abandoned buildings. There is a lot of history out there and OFF LIMITS signs too lol

The desert can be a pretty awesome place :thumb:

LOL - that would have been rough ride in an old CJ. Bet it was tons of fun :thumb:

Another great video. Thanks for sharing your journey. Can hardly wait for the day when I'm home for good to really enjoy the way out places you two always seem to find. Keep em coming.:thumb:

You bet and for now, I hope our videos can wet your appetite for the adventures to come.

Thanks for taking us along. Some amazing view that’s for sure! Time to put winter away and bring on some heat- tired of the cold 🥃 Cheers guys!!

Man, I couldn't agree with you more! Been a hell of a long and unusually cold winter this year. I am so ready for spring! :yup:

So cool. I never cease to be amazed by how expansive Nevada is and how much of it I still need to see.

Cindy and I have been exploring this state for a very long time and I kid you not, there are still so many places we have yet to see. It really is amazing out here and with any luck, it'll stay that way for a while longer.

That was nice, and a good way to wind down after an excitement filled day of wrenching and changing tires on the Jeep.

I'm ready to get out into more of the desert in Nevada, Arizona, and even parts of Kalifornia

Sounds like you had a fun filled day! Glad we were able to help wind things down for ya :)

Thanks for taking us along again for the ride! Looks even better when I have the chance to play it on the TV rather than phone or IPad

So glad that we could share some of the fun we had with you :)

My favorite kind of trail too :) Great vid!

Thanks! It's always nice to know there are still places in this country where you can get away from it all. :yup:

That was a really cool video Cindy and Eddie. The area there sure looks amazing. Thank you for sharing your ride.

So glad to know there are others like yourself who can appreciate places like this. :)

Very cool trip...I do love exploring. Awesome this is so close to LV...I'm definitely going to check this place out in the future...

What's really nice about it is that being a National Wildlife Refuge, they do a great job of keeping it NICE and CLEAN. Only registered licensed vehicles can enter the refuge and so you don't see dirt bike or side by side tracks tearing across the landscape. Also, it was really nice to NOT see trigger trash the way you'd find in most places out in the Mojave Desert these days, especially being so close to Vegas.

What a pretty area. Thanks for sharing.

It really is a beautiful area. We're glad you enjoyed seeing it.

Unpacked and finally awake after some coffee and I gotta day as much I love the hardcore rock crawling videos, these are the ones that inspire me the most. Just going out and seeing what there is to see. Peaceful, rewarding and epic. Perfect way to recharge the batteries.

Thanks for sharing Eddie. That's a beautiful part of NV. I was there last week on the way to Vegas (in the Raptor, so no Jeep porn).

Great video, nice short exploration. Really cool to see the desert sand dry and wet at the same time!

Thanks for Sharing!

I really enjoyed this video. It's nice to periodically see the adventures that our Jeeps are used for in addition to the Rubicon and Slick Rock, etc., types of trails. Kinda rekindles that "Pioneering Spirit".

Thank you!

I love the scenery too. Although some differences, the AZ desert keeps this Hoosier born guy in AZ. It also reminded me slightly of River Road in Big Bend National Park, TX. That one is only 55ish miles across one way but there are plenty of “side roads” that are fun too. Satellite phones were the only mode of communication there and I loved that!

I LOL’d at Tessa when you mentioned beef jerky! [emoji23]

Thanks again for a great video that makes me feel like I’m along for the ride! I keep saying it, hoping it’ll come true, but I want to get out your way someday!
