Having a couple HS friends in AZ this VT guy needed to escape the cold for a bit of AZ sun. What did I do? I contacted a couple local VT friends and said let's go to AZ for a quick long weekend trip (something I would normally never do). They both said let's do it and 5 of us which all graduated HS together had one heck of a 3 day weekend in AZ. We all have very busy lives, all work hard and all have kids under the age of 12. We were able to pull this trip off within a 3 week period and are still all married (so far anyway, we just got home last night).
What did we do? We camped in a town called Superior:
Drove my buddies JKUR on 35's and his fathers 4 door Chevy (which he knew what we were going to do with it) around Picket Post MTN:
Got to see Ajax Mine:
And drove lower Ajax in the JK:
Partied our butts off each night and had a blast laughing about our HS days.
During the days got to see some amazing parts of AZ which I never thought I would see..
The JK rocked and the Chevy did some incredible wheeling with only a few AZ pinstripes and a dented nerf bar:
I was very happy to see some of the awesome 4wheeling that u west coasters get to enjoy. It's a beautiful place. And for all you east coasters, we didn't touch the big stuff, these guys wheel some sick terrain.
Anyway, Thanks Wayalife and everyone out there for showing me how to just get up and go. The only thing I wish could have been different would be to have my Jeep with me... Enjoy!!!
