Oil Filter Change

Hi

I just did an oil change on our 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X

The old oil filter had a green O ring on the bottom and since the new one didn’t have one, I removed from the old filter and put on new one. Is the right?

according to the service tech I spoke to at the dealership I bought my Jeep from, the green o-rings, intake cover gaskets etc, are designed to be reused. all other colors (blue/black) are not.

This^^ the green O ring is reusable. Mainly seen On the cap itself. On the gm vehicle I never changed them unless the cap was leaking for some reason.
