Tire step

jeeeep

Hooked
Bought this tire step after having an issue on my way to Tx after the camshafts were replaced, made it to Monticello and got the engine light, and misfire; plugged in the code reader and it was codes for O2 sensors, and multiple misfire codes for the side that was worked on.

Monticello was nice and cold, kneeling on the tire to get a better view into the engine bay was awkward with my knees cold and the nerves sensitive, stepping on the tire/bumper gave me too high of a birdseye view into the engine compartment.

Being all the codes were on the side just worked on, and once I got a better view, a few of the injector connectors had worked loose (snapped and locked back into place) also found 1 coil connector lock tab was missing and connecter loose, the other also loose - crazy it didn't happen sooner but maybe the temperature change played a role. Once everything was reseated, codes went away on their own and no more issues since.

I have a 3-step stool for home use but have found this to be handy, the step against the tire seems to offer a better lean over than the step stool, ordered it on Amazon and it was waiting for me at home in TX, glad I didn't need it for the return trip but have since used it to prep for NYKOR

Nice. That is the perfect elevation for digging around under the hood.
