Trails for a stockish JKU Near Anza Borrego

Going to be in Cat City next week for thanksgiving. My uncle also happens to be a big jeeper (tj on 38s) and I wanted to take him down to the state park. Never been down there and I wonder if there were any blues and blacks I could take a pretty much stock jku sport on.
 
I'm going to out there from Fri - Sun. Give me a holler if you make it to Borrego and we can meet up.
 
I probably won't get out there until 10:00 ish. Your right, cell service is spotty. We will be in the Ocotillo Wells area. I'm not totally sure where yet.
 
Honestly man. You will be fine. I've seen a stock Sahara go through diablo drop off and broken driveshaft gulch. He did fine without even sliders and completely stock. There's so much in borrego that you can't go wrong.
 
I would just get ahold of moochie. He knows a lot of the area down there and if you don't like where he is going in sure he would point you in the direction of something else.

Or you can buy the book "Guide to California backroads & four wheel drive trails" for Southern California. It's written by Charles A. Wells and is a pretty good source for info.
 
Im hoping to get out to either Borrego or Ocotillo wells Saturday if all goes well at work Friday. Anyone meeting up for a run?
 
Some family things happened and I won't be able to make it down. Hopefully some other time this winter I'll be able to make it down there.
 
Looks like theduff is good for sat. Asked him to post up. Moochie what part of o wells area sat?

We will be camping near the Blue Inn. I'm not there yet so I don't have an exact location. A run to Superstition Mt. could happen on Sat.

What time are you thinking? We can get out of n county 7-730ish. Puts us out there 830-900 to blu inn
 
Was looking to play around in the truck haven area off s22 (north of blu inn) and tent camp somewhere
