PICS from the PAST : The ONE That Started it All

Just catching up on the forum and this thread. Awesome throw backs and great times you had! I remember watching an old project-JK video where you explored Black mountain wilderness and in that video you told your story of how you progressed to a Jeep. Very cool knowing that story from the video and seeing these pics! 😎

That's awesome you still remember that and hope to post up more pics soon :)

AND SO IT BEGAN
Being that this is a Jeep and that does mean "just empty every pocket", it didn't take long for us to start making "necessary" mods. Of course, being that we were working on a budget, a Rubicon Express (does anyone even remember who those guys are?) 2" budget boost is where the slippery slope started along with a set of massive 31x10.50 BFG MT's.

Here's a few shots from one of the very first write-ups I did and as you can see, the box I received contained coil spacers, shocks, bump stop extensions and even stickers BUT... no instructions LOL!

But, if it weren't for the fact that so few products came with instructions and or the ones that did were so bad, I would have never been prompted to help others with my write-ups :)

And this was our TJ now looked like with 2" of lift and 31's

You can see that I had also installed a CB radio by this time and mounted a Hi-Lift Jack to the rear bumper.

More pics to come

LOL - You have no idea! With 31's, I thought my Jeep was the shit back then 🤪
Pfft, yeah right! My dad threw on 33 inch BFG KOs wrapped around some very chrome 18" Eagle wheels (apparently was the shit back then) in 2000 I believe. I'll try to see if he has any pictures post lift from back then. 🤪
