What was done to your rig this week?

I installed a Rugged Ridge 11214.53 Dual Battery Tray and 2 DieHard Advanced Gold AGM Batteries Model# 50733, one of them was 34R.

After much swearing and wishing I could punch something corporate, I got it to the original battery cables on 1 battery to start the jeep.

Using one of the batteries as an R designate lets me put both positive posts together.

This tray has a second piece that bolts on FROM INSIDE THE TRAY! So when I thought I had a bottom area of 10" to use, it was really only 9 3\4 due to the bolt heads.

So instead of returning the batteries or modding the main tray, I just eliminated the add-on piece.

Tomorrow I still need to sweat the new tinned lugs on to the 2/0 cables for my winch, and everything that connects to the 4 battery posts, and the 500A solenoid that connects the batteries together.

I need to make the connections, pull the winch electrical cables, install the Daystar KJ71044BK Black A-Pillar Switch Pod, run the wire from a switch to the solenoid and test.

Just got to get the wiring to hook up the smart solenoid and second battery. And clean up the wiring mess in there.
