My feeling on this, and I'm sure it won't be a popular one is some people are just Inattentive drivers. If texting doesn't get them fumbling with the radio or looking for a lost french fry will. Let the arguments begin.

I agree in theory. Used to be make up application or reading something (paper). Distractions are all equally dangerous, it just seems that texting is extremely prevalent and addictive... Hard to ignore it for most drivers... Especially younger less experienced drivers.

I'm 22 my phone blows with texts and Facebook PMs and never look at them while I'm driving

I just think that is stupid, for reading 1 text for 2 sec you can take some ones life away

So I just stay away from that, and I always hong at people that I see texting
