He was in the canal and couldn't get out. Fish and game came out, but the got tired of playing games with him and just shot him instead. Came right out after that. Homeless shelter in town eating good tonight.

Fordyce Trail - Creek flow below the dam.png
Ya looks like you may have missed your window. When Sierra Trek goes the flow is less that 50 CFS. when we went this year it was around 52 CFS. Its now like 66 CFS. Break out the Paddles.

May be time for a few upgrades

Ok so I really didn't want to bring light to the fact that I am grinding and spraying sparks all over the place but there is a story that goes with this pic that I wanted to make sure got out there. A story that I didn't know about until I was broken on the trail and needed some help.

Here I have a cheater bar with a T handle by needed to cut it off so it could be slipped onto the drag link. I was able to get a hack saw from Brandon in our group and that was the plan. As I am working on getting the drag link off out of no where comes a 20 something kid with an inverted and angle grinder. He opens my hood, attached the inverter and told me that I could just drop it off a bit up the trail where he was fixing his Jeep. Mike was extremely generous big shout out!!. It saved an enormous amount of time. Between myself and Lee we were able to get through the 1/8 wall tubing easily. Now when you are broken and some random Jeeper comes to help that's when you know you are part of a bigger community. One that is out there battling the same trail, helping others even when they are broken themselves.

The second break is really when I realized that we were not alone.

We started the take off the tie rod and all of the sudden we look up and there are 15 rigs around and everyone is asking to help. Let's try this, how about we do that. What can we help do, we have all been there, my jack is easier to get to here! What a great feeling when some random person helps you out for no reason.

This is how I got through the Rubicon. With the support of random strangers willing to help. This couple with the WOL group support...unbelievable! What an experience!

This is what I got into Jeeping for. This is why you see stickers that say "it's a Jeep thing you wouldn't understand". This is the Way of Life!
