Rock Krawler rear suspension 1" "Stretch"

If you're dead set on rk, I would only get the one with the lower front arms. I'm not sure of the name, flex or something like that. All 8 arms aren't needed.
Or the stock mod and different arms

Max travel that is what I have and been reading that the rear lowers are not as long as the X-Factor and I have none of those problems as people with the X-Factor has.

That being said the EVO control arms seem like the best short arm out there and the adjustment while it's on the Jeep is a plus.

Hmmm, I might contact RK and see of the lower arms are different on the max travel vs. X Factor

So if I got the max travel kit and then bought the upper arms front and rear I shouldn't have this problem right?

I have a buddy that has the 3.5 x factor and it flexes like crazy and it will take a beating. And it rides good too.

What makes it "flex like crazy"? The arms? What takes the beating exactly? I'm just curious what is intriguing about this specific kit.

And yet people that have posted here with the RK kits have had issues. Ride quality is subjective. What other suspension set ups have test driven to compare too?

Well unfortunately he's my only friend with a JK, everyone else has TJs and XJs. But I am looking at the EVO 3 inch lift and Tereflex too, I just haven't seen or ridden in one to know the difference is my only draw back.

I'm sure you could connect with some forum members in the NC area. Not sure what lifts/set ups they all might have, but I bit they'd be willing to have you as a co-pilot. Before getting my Jeep, I didn't know anyone with a wrangler. I've since able to test everything from TeraBreak to EVOs DTD.

That's a good idea. I've got the 3.5" RK Flex and am around the Chapel Hill area quite frequently. More than welcome to co-pilot and feel the springs and ride for yourself.

:cheesy::crazyeyes: I think you missed my point. The goal isn't to ride 5 Jeeps all with RK suspensions. He's already tested the RK, but has zero experience with other kits.

One thing to note, the 1" stretch caused my trackbar to rub on the rear passenger side coil spring (even with the wedges installed) so I relocated the chassis trackbar mount back an inch using my own fabricated mount.

Now with EVO trackbar axle mounts (front and rear) and moving the trackbar back (not included in any RK kit) my current set-up rides the way I hoped it would from RK. But that is my personal opinion.

Take a ride in as many JKs as possible. See what you truly like, that performs the way you want AND is within your budget. I would love an EVO DTD, but that was way out of my budget.

Point taken. I didn't read through that one too well.

It should be made note that RK redesigned their springs at the end of 2014. Depending on the age of the kit your buddy has, the ride could be different.

Kyle,

Do you mean the change they made going to the triple rate springs front and rear? If so they did that back in April/May timeframe last year. That is what I got in my kit. They are great springs in my opinion.

If they changed them again last fall, please pass on the details.

Thanks,
Matt

If you are adamant on the RK arms, RK will custom cut you arms if you like so they are not 1" longer in the rear...
