I think I'm planning a long haul down. I don't trust staying in a hotel with the Jeep packed full of stuff.

I'm a one day guy. Not that bad of a drive for me!

I'm down for one day, as long as I get some of those cinnamon rolls I've heard so much about.

Only once! And I missed it and didn't turn around figuring we'd come back this way. But then we decided to come back the 101 route. So missed it both times! :-(

And the other question for use Oregon guys. What's everybody top/doors option? It's October, so I imagine it'll be chilly, but would be fun to run with minimal doors and top

I can tell you last year, we left oregon at 2 and it was 70, got to redding and it was 90, then started ice house road and it was 30.
The way home left tahoe around 3ish it was in the 70s, time we got home was in the 20s. It was a really really cold ride home with no doors.
I'm trying to find a place to stash some doors. The issue is its closer to enter from Sacramento I-5 and leave from Reno and go up 395... I hoping for some strikeforce uppers before then. Doubt that will happen!

Yup, my brother and I, the doors, and all our gear fit great in my 2dr for the rubicon

We usually meet up at the Chevron at I-80 and Sierra College. The gas station has a good sized 'store' and a McDonalds attached so you can get gas, breakfast, etc. I don't know that we have a time set yet. All the details will get posted here tho
