LoL, I know. If it weren't for the business we were opening, i may have a little more freedom.
Although I will say, even though my budget has been super tight, I'm happy with the progress of the build. It's exactly what I was wanting. [emoji106]

This is a great point. Ashten and I both agreed that we wouldn't mod this one, and so it's great that we've changed directions and are financially able to get a few of the essentials.
After tires are ordered, the winch will come next. Stage 1 will then be complete, and I'll try to use 2017 and 2018 to really wheel and "overland/explore" as much as I can.
In the meantime, might head up to Barnwell on a Sunday in October just to get a shakedown of the new mods..

Sorry for the long hiatus! Unfortunately this past weekend we very suddenly and tragically lost a brother Firefighter. Rest easy brother, we will take it from here.
Here's what Steel and I have been up too in the past few days.

Checking out some non paved terrain, doing a little exploring.
Fantastic burger joint!
Oh yeah, and these showed up today!
Most of you guys probably think I am nuts for buying a set of new stock Rubicon tires, but even after purchasing these with the price of the rubicon wheels I bought, I'm still at about $850. That's cheaper than most are asking for a set of used Rubi wheels and tires on CL.
I toyed with the fact of going to 33s or even 35s, but then I'd completely ruin what I'm trying to do here. I'm trying to make Steel as capable as I can, while keeping close to stock and on an extremely tight budget. These tires will give me good off road performance and still keep the on road handling of the JKU.
Hope to get them on within the next week or so.
