JKX Alaska

I do find it funny how a guy comes onto our forum, WAYALIFE and to compliment Cindy and I on the videos we've made and yet, so many of you feel the need to chime in and say how much you either like the new JKX videos or comment on how ours are just as good as them. I mean, it's just a thought but if you really like these new videos, perhaps you should say as much on THEIR website. I'm sure THEY would appreciate it just as much as Cindy and I appreciated hearing the kind words given to us from the OP. Again, it's just a thought.

I'll quote this for those that missed it. Would love to see the posts on the JKX website boasting Wayalife videos like you guys are boasting JKX videos here.

I watched it, it was ok. It's not something I would go back and rewatch as I've done countless times with Eddie and Cindy's videos. I truly enjoy the action, but even more so, I enjoy the narration, the stories, the history, the trail fixes, and the off the cuff humor. Eddie and Cindy do a great job of capturing the camaraderie too, every body always seems like old friends. Overall when I watch them, I'm left feeling like I was almost there, like I got to know the all the people that were there. The newer JKX videos, although good, just don't make that connection to me. I'm blown away that neither of you have any formal training, keep up the great work!

Just based on the feeling I get from watching the videos, I think I would much rather join a Wayalife run than a JKX. They're absolutely incredible and welcoming! I can only imagine how much goes into them. Well done!

Who's boasting? The consensus on this thread is overwhelmingly in favor of Eddie and Cindy's videos. Does JKX even have a forum? I personally never even cared to see.

To echo what was said, Eddie and Cindy put their heart and soul into creating their videos. There is no comparison. Their videos capture the essence of their trips. Portraying the deep and meaningful friendships they have and tell a great story about their wheeling adventures.

The other is a 26min Nitto commercial.

Couldn't agree with you more!! Nicely said!

Eddie, I hear what you are saying and I personally understand the drug like addiction to the videos you and Cindy produce for us the addicted! JKX videos aside, I would think that FCA should be throwing a lot of love your way! I would place a wager that your videos are responsible for selling more jeeps than the top two salespeople country wide ! If you look at the thread asking what brought you to WAYALIFE, a good number mentioned the videos either convinced them to or helped solidify their decision to purchase a jeep. Myself they rekindled my love for the vehicle and led me to purchase my jeep! The heart and sole that oozes out of the videos you produce is so much more than just a jeep video! This isn't about equipment or crews it's about the caring and enjoyment that you guys put into each one of your videos. You don't owe any of use more videos but I'm sure we all can't wait for more ! Thank you both!

Just watched and enjoyed the new jkx video but I gotta say I miss the voice and storytelling of Eddie it felt a little less relatable if that makes any sense.

Cindy and I are truly flattered and appreciate the kind words.

Well-earned, those words are. I too had the same sentiment of it, '...not being the same...' while watching.

I didn't feel it was so terrible I couldn't watch, standards might be a bit high;). After a while though, the slow-mo mudslinging clips--cool the first time or two--seemed to get a tad gratuitous. Ah, but have the skill to do it myself...easy to criticize:).

Enjoyed it, just not the same:)

'tis how I feel about AEV's videos. They spend so much on their videos, but miss the extra 10% to make it zing. It is a lifestyle, a way of life, and they completely miss the mark. Its about the people, the shared experiences, the places the Jeep treats you to.

Thank you. I should note that everyone you see on our videos are friends that we've met from WAYALIFE. I hope some day you will be able to join us on one of our runs. :yup:

They have a website and a Facebook page where they post up all their videos. I'm sure they would love to hear from fans there.

We really appreciate the compliment. All we ever hope to do is share how much fun we have with all our friends. I hope someday you can be a part of it

Well, I would hope that you enjoyed the new video, it was produced by a top dollar professional film crew. If you like the home movies we make, I hope it's because you're seeing regular people having a good time with good friends.

Well-earned, those words are. I too had the same sentiment of it, '...not being the same...' while watching.

Well, we wish we could get the kind of footage that they get but when you're driving, filming and trying to keep up with the group, it's all we can do to get anything at all with our little Sony Handycam.

I watched them, I did like the drone shots but missed the personalization you get with WAYALIFE videos.

I always look forward to a new WAYALIFE video.

Thank you, we really are flattered that you would enjoy our videos as amateurish as they are.

My apologies to the OP but I'm gonna hijack this thread: is there a new Wayalife video in the works?

LOL!! We do have a few projects in the works. One featured film and a few short videos. I hope you can be patient while we work on them on our spare time. :yup:

I thoroughly enjoyed it! This video definately had a different vibe though.

You should tell them as much on their Facebook page or YouTube channel. I'm sure they would appreciate it as much as we appreciate the OP letting us know how much he likes our videos on our forum.

As I read through this thread, I'm amazed at the level of continuing disrespect, regardless of intentions. Really people, review these quotes and think before you post!

Though I appreciate the new JKX videos as any jeep video is better than no jeep video, I must say the Eddie/Cindy creations were leagues above the current status quo. I'm watching Wild Wild West right now and it is much more enjoyable to watch (or rewatch as my wife just called me out on...)

I look forward to the potential of a new feature length WAL video.

LOL!! It's a lot like inviting people to a BBQ at your house and having one guy saying how much he likes the ribs and then have a bunch of other people start on about how much they liked the food better at someone else's house. Or at the very least, will say to my face how the food I'm cooking tastes about as good - just different.

It's all good though, Cindy and I know where we stand in all this. We are in fact just amateurs making home movies.

Lol, love that analogy! You're a humble man!

Even though it amazes me still, I don't think the vast majority of the folks here really understand the story behind this website. This is not like other anonymous corporately owned sites out there that are open to the public. As Eddie has stated thousands of times, this is a private site. He owns this and funds this with his own money and allows us to come play in his back yard for free! Have some respect for that people. And while it sometimes makes for good theatre, really, its downright ignorant to come here and do what some folks do.

As far as the JKX,'s, unless they are a product of Team Oh, I ain't interested.

This thread is completely retarded.

I didn't get entrenched with Wayalife because of Jeep videos. I wanted to be part of Wayalife because it looked like Eddie and Cindy and friends were having a lot of fun in HIS videos. That's why I bought my jeep. That's why I built it up.

If I wanted to critique a video, I'd head over to Harkins.

I'm more interested in hanging out, wheeling and having fun with friends I've met because of Eddie. Sometimes Eddie and Cindy film those good times. In my head I like to think it's for us all to have as a keepsake and to show how we live the Wayalife.

As Eddie has said SEVERAL times now, he's sure that the JKX/Nitto folks would like to hear from you on their pages. That's where I gave my comments.

I wasn't going to chime in as introverted as I am but I have to say, this is not the JKX coverage we all have come to know and love. Sometime passion shows through more than profit and I think that's the case here. Eddie, your home movies as you put it are phenomenal!! I would not have landed here without them on YouTube. My only complaint is that there are not more, more often. [emoji12]. I'm sure you make a good BBQ too.
