How much for your wife's boobs?

I don't see why people get mad/upset or whatever when people ask how much a jeep cost or a jeep build cost. I can understand boobs cause let's face it, you don't really know for sure that they were bought. Lol. But a jeep or a jeep build? I get asked often about mine and mine isn't really anything built up yet. But usually people are interested in it cause they have a jeep or thinking about getting one and are interested in something about mine. Sometimes you do get the douche bags that are just being douche bags, usually I just throw out a figure I know that's probably a little high and see where it goes.

Maybe I'm just missing something. And maybe they could've done some research into parts alone before just asking. I'll agree with that. In today's society it seems like people want everybody to do the leg work for them. You can see it everyday on for sale sights, even on craigslist.

I don't see it being an issue in the ways that you just brought up, I had a neighbor just the other day ask how much my ARB compressor was, etc. But Brute's build is a very top-notch build and I for one feel it is rude to ask in that context. Just like if you were to see someone with a high-end sports car, you just don't ask. You can speculate that it wasn't cheap and leave it at that. That's my :twocents:

It doesn't bother me in the least...people ask me all the time about what I paid for many things...not just jeeps. But I just never reply to the inquiries...I just don't discuss my personal finances with anyone except my wife, cpa and financial planner...

I often forget too that not everybody is like me. I like what I like and usually if I ask what it cost I'm truly interested. I'm not just tryin to be a dick by asking or anything. So I assume when I get asked, people are like me. And that's a wrong assessment most of the time. I'll talk cars with somebody for hours on end, especially 4x4s and more so jeeps. So I often for get that people don't share my enthusiasm. Lol.

My usual response, when someone asks me is this.....

" I dont know what it cost, and I dont want to know"

Which I do kind of know since I made a spread sheet once and then I was depressed :thumb:

The post got moved here, because it was cluttering Brute's build thread, not so much because of the question. As to everyone's responses, mostly it looks to me like a little good natured banter.

There's a big difference in asking what an individual part costs as opposed to an entire build. To me, asking how an individual part costs is just kinda inquiring about it, maybe because they are interested in purchasing something similar. Asking about a whole build is just kinda nosy. There's a huge difference in asking "hey how much does a set of those tires run" as opposed to "hey how much money have you dumped into that thing?"

I did that too, it's my spread sheet for 37s and to do it properly with everything I want and/or need. First and foremost, I need about $12k lol.

I didn't question why the post got moved here. Based on the responses I completely agreed with moving it out of his build thread. My post didn't mention anything about that. I also realize it's just good banter as you say, that's why I gave my opinion as well. To be honest I really don't know why you quoted my quote being your reply doesn't really tie into my reply.

It doesn't matter as long as they don't ask how much in front of the wife [emoji12], she should never know how much the build cost [emoji15].
