Hinrichs 2.0

Looks good! If you didn't see the Bestop SEMA thread, they are releasing Twill uppers that will match your soft top. I suggest calling them before you order them. :yup:

I will have to get a hold of them to see if they can give me a price point for the new uppers, I have been thinking about switching to a normal top however which is why I have the trek top up for trade. I do love the twill material but its not that important to me anymore. I wouldn't be happy to loose the nice interior tho over anything.

nice, the half doors look great!

Nice doors!

Thanks guys. Got the vinyl samples I'm the mail today so if its sunny tomorrow I will see which ones match the best and then I can order up a roll after I figure out how much I will need so I can get the doors stripped and maybe re-wrapped next week when I am off of work.

Well out of 8 samples, threw on the 2 that seemed the closest, still not that good which sucks but in pictures it looks better than in person. Thinking about a color change or just wrapping the whole jeep in a white so they all match lol.

I'm with you on that. PA sucks.
I keep trying to get my hubby to move to AZ or NM. Not happening anytime soon :(

My wife talked me out of PA last year. Living in sunny Florida now!

Peeled most of the vinyl on 3 out of the 4 doors. It's coming off well, but the edges are sure a pain. Now to decide on the one white that's close, or a complete color change since this is my 2nd white jeep and I wouldn't mind a change for a little while

I think a different color would be cool, just because. And at least with a wrap, if you don't like it, you can just take it off.

Looks great in the pic...but if your going to wrap the whole thing, the world's your palette...including graphics. I'm still thinking about a wrap & graphics theme for the Hellcat

The blue wasn't bad, but I wasn't feeling it enough to leave them alone. Black isn't bad but I like things to look proper anymore which makes it hard for me with the jeep. Hell I still want oem halfs lol.

At least if you wrap the whole thing you can peel your scratches off eventually. I've thought about doing a clear flat wrap for that reason

I have a few friends locally who have went that route with higher end cars, and they swear by it to protect from rock chips and such. The one with an R8 I think bascially had the whole front done up to the windshield or something along those lines which wasnt cheap but worth it for him he said.

I found a semi local shop that does full wraps, and asked about the doors vs the whole jeep. He said around 250-300 for the doors as a estimate (at that point I may go paint if its only around 500 like Eddie said) and 2200 for the whole jeep . I understand that cost for a full car, but not a jeep that has way less paint and no roof. I did do some digging and I understand a lot comes off the jeep but when you can lay a door down flat, it has to be easier. I know that I could do myself, which I think would have to happen anyway cuz I dont trust someone else taking off my skins and such. I would like to see tho if this guy has a white that may match better. If not I will just order the closest one I found, which should be like $80 for the roll and I will try my hand at wrapping the doors.

I'll try to remember the name of the company for you but the local Ziebart here has a big machine they can enter the vehicle info in and it cuts the shapes of the vehicles body panels then they just apply it there. This was the clear wrap but the company that produces this machine and software was online and you may be able to get white. I'll look through my search history

Have yet to order any vinyl, there is a white I think I missed which I need to get a sample of. The one I have on the jeep however, is cut in odd sizes which has me a little confused so I dont know what to order, and the options are either

5 ft x 1 yard $20
5 ft x 10 yard $175

So I dont know how much to order, I know the 10 yard makes sense since I will probably screw up the first door anyway, but I am trying to do this as cheap as possible. I should really do the 1 yard and see if I can even manage to get it on myself, then order more.

Decided to just bite the bullet and order the 10 yard roll, which shipped today. Hopefully it isnt as hard as I think it will be in my head, and I can start on the doors this weekend. Hell I may even try and wrap some interior pieces like the vent surrounds and trim for a little interior fun.

Also...update on my wonder daily :rolleyes2: that I havent drive in like 4 months.....well I just got the reman oem head delivered, so time to run that down to the shop so I can hopefully finally have it running again so I have something else to drive while I work on some things on the jeep over winter.
