Any Mountain Bikers?

That would be my other money pit :wings:. It makes it tough on nice weekends in choosing which to do.

Current ride minus a few upgrades, way overkill for FL but just right for road trips to the mountains.

You in the Tampa Bay Area? I ride trails around here as far out as Ocala. I ride a FOCUS Black Forest 29er currently. I haven't found any trail around here that I'm not comfortable on yet. I'm looking at the Cannondale Trigger 29er Carbon 2 as my next addition. I'm thinking that will get me through the intense trails out in the desert when I move. Let me know where you ride...

I'm a little north of Orlando and ride Santos mostly, just under an hour drive. I venture out to Boyette and Alafia every now and then in your neck of the woods. You also have Carter road in your area but I haven't made it out there yet but heard great things about it.

If you are willing to make a long drive San Felasco just north of Gainseville is also a lot of fun and has some elevation changes. The Tour De Felasco event every January is a lot of fun but tends to sell out fast, technically not a race just everyone from the southeast getting together for some good riding.

Towards Daytona there is Chuck Lennon which is probably one my favorite loops but a little short with only 5.7 miles of trails. Spruce Creek isn't too far from there just outside New Smyrna and another fun loop. Last time I was at Spruce creek they were in the process of re-routing some of the trails.

The Swamp Club might be a good resource for finding more trails and people near you in Tampa.

Thanks for the insight. Santos is one of my favorites. I'm out there usually 2-3 times/mth. Unfortunately, my work schedule doesn't alot for much playtime. I'm actually heading out to Alafia tomorrow. I've threatened my wife, who's new to all of this, with Magic Mountain. Lol. I'm familiar with the Swamp Club. I'll have to check out Carter Rd. Haven't heard of it. Starkey Park over here on this side just opened up an 8.5 mi single track. Mostly palmetto roots and sand. Not a high speed trail by any means, however it's a helluva good workout.

Shiny side up!

Hi, we are heading to Estes park, CO in two weeks on vacation, does anyone have any suggestions on places to ride in that area? we ride mostly single track here in Ohio. Also any recommendations on places to take a stock jeep would be appreciated.

Well I finally gave in to carbon fiber and 27.5, so far no regrets but jury is still out until I get a few rides in.

Very Nice!! I went from a 26 to a 29er. I
Love it for everything except trying to turn down steep switchbacks. I've thought about trying out a 27.5 just for kicks.

My good friend (tony) rode several bikes before settling on his new carbon 27.5. He thought the 29 had too much flex in the rims for the technical trails we were on. He loves the 27.5 and he hardly had to pedal!

My ride- 2001 power wheel, 11" plastic tires, upgraded battery, boat sides, custom bumpers, tow hooks, new paint.

Yeah I have kinda kicked myself but when I bought my bike 29ers were the newest thing and the 27.5/650b wasn't really out yet. Just a reason to upgrade right lol!

That's a sweet ride! It was one that it was looking at before I got mine. I hear the trance is a very efficient design that hardly even needs suspension lockouts.

I got it once it became a leftover and got a killer price. I have loved it ever since.
