My2016 goals are pretty meager

Jeep:
Install lift kit before it rots a hole in my garage floor
Explore the whole of Colorado's off road trails at least once each
Add ATX Slabs

Life:
I just hope to survive, and benefit from upcoming brain surgery (Deep Brain Stimulation) on Jan 20th.

Job:
Assuming the DBS surgery is successfully completed...Go back to work! Doing whatever

Okay, I'll bite. 2016 Goals

Life:

1. Really try to be a better person and continue to treat people the way I want to be treated.
2. Take at least ONE Jeep trip this year but take the Jeep out more often this year on day trips
3. Win a belt buckle or women's necklace this trap season at the monthly Tri County trap shoots.
4. Exercise more so I can start hiking a little more when I off road.

Jeep:

1. Get some skid plates/armor on the Jeep
2. Get some kind of lift on the Jeep if I can figure out which one
3. Make additional payments towards the Jeep to pay it off sooner

Financial:

1. Find a better job so that I put in motion the purchase of my first home
2. Make sure than that I continue to pay cash only for Jeep parts as I have done so
3. Make sure that debt ratios are in check to get ready for #1 in Financial.
4. Work on cooking my own food and less eating out

I didn't do a before but can say with the utmost assurance that the first quarter sucked all around.

Job is sucking right now.

Jeep is lacking, low on money since the house purchase. Not really low but the house is taking all the extra money right now.

Wife is good but we are in a rut kind of.

Just keep checkin the days off. Tryin to change stuff. So we shall see.

That's a helluva accomplishment in itself - congrats! I quit Copenhagen years ago - that is one mother of a habit to quit.

Bump! Where the fuck did this year go?! How is everyone doing on their goals?

Jeep
1) Pay it off!

I expect it be fully paid off in February 2017. However, the majority of the loan is gone. :wings:

Good bump Mr Ty. I could be in worse standing. I need to lose a few more pounds. [emoji23][emoji23] Honestly, the jeep stuff is all secondary. If life is good, the jeep will be good. [emoji106]

A few more months to make an impact this year.

Bump to update the progress and close out the year. Did pretty good on the goals, still have a a lot of room for improvement.

We had an amazing 2016 in some regards and some parts were very difficult. We are looking forward to 2017. :yup:

Jeep related :
1 - Lose some paint in Moab
2 - lose some more paint in Colorado
3 - convince wife jeep needs to be lifted and protected with EVO goodies
4 - start building up camping supplies
5 - stop staying in hotels and start camping
6 - start collecting spare parts and tools for jeep

Life related :
1 - commit to taking time off of work to try to accomplish jeep items listed above
2 - enjoy more of what we have rather than worry about what we don't have
3 - explore more of everything

Well, I did accomplish a few things jeep related:
1- lost some paint in Moab
2- didn't make it to Colorado
3- 3 inch EVO Enforcer installed with Sliders and skids
4- have almost everything needed for basic camping
5- no hotels this summer!
6- small collection of shafts and bits started

Life related:
1- took some time and enjoyed it
2- enjoyed my stuff for sure!
3- still need to explore way, way, way much more.

Jeep list: Did ok except epic fail on wheeling out West. At least I got out to the local places pretty regularly this year. I threw a small party with the dog when the TF carrier went in the trash (thanks EVO).

Exercise was reasonable thanks to the bike and now the fat bike. Did a good job adding to my image portfolio.

So, not bad but room for improvement.

Dave

Jeep:
  1. Don't drive it when there is salt on the road
  2. Attack any new rust with a rattle can, Fluid Film and a vengeance
  3. FINALLY replace my tire carrier (it is a TF) so I can lose the back-up safety strap
  4. Wheel out West

Life:
  1. Get back in shape now that my knee is repaired
  2. Get out more and take more photos (Iceland in Feb will be a good start!)
  3. Under the category of "manage risk", FINALLY replace my tire carrier...

That's what every January is for!

Is there a right way to write plural months?? I wanted to say, "That's what January's are for..." but I'm a dumbass engineer and still can't figure it out. Januaries? Januarys? They all look like crap.

Well at least I have something for next year's list: improve my English without going to Google every hour to look something up.
