Hands down, right out of the box and totally stock, the 392 is stupid fun to drive around town and on the highway. It literally had me giggling like a little kid every time I stepped on the gas. Some of that was lost going to 38's and that bums me out a bit. Hoping to fix that soon though.
With all that said, Moby is without question, way more fun to drive all around. Maybe not as quick on the street but still fast and fun, very comfortable and super capable off road on the rocks or jamming across the desert.

Obviously don’t have 6.2 to compare, but the 392 is crazy fun, and I’ve only ever driven it with 37/38s, lifted and 3.73 gears, so I can only imagine it factory. I’ll likely be addressing gears this winter though, so I’ll get a little taste. But the difference between it and a v6 is wild. Full package Moby definitely wins

While I’ve driven 392s countless times at my old job, and you’re spot on about the ride, a 6.2 LT swap is just so much more cool in my opinion.

Moby is a clear winner on challenging trails. While being taken by wiring cluster abrasion after the swap, it has proven itself time and time again on the trail. In fact, Moby (and Calamity Jane) are why I joined this forum.

Vote for you to sell Moby and Jane.
Both are fun to drive for sure but there's no comparison between the 2 off road. Our 392 is capable but Moby kills it.

I love both. The 392 I had was a blast to drive around for sure. My jk with the 392 is amazing as well, definitely changed the whole dynamic of the jeep though. A 3.6 with a heavy pig of a jeep just isn’t fun to drive around in my opinion. I couldn’t imagine a 3.8L with 40’s. I think a V8 option should always be a thing in a jeep even if it was just a 5.7.
