Armando's Build Thread: Past, Present, and Future

I'll start with a little back story. I bought my 2010 Unlimited Rubicon (named Armando after the previous owner whose insurance card i found in the glove box) July of last year, pulled it in the garage next to my 2007 wrangler x and started swapping every mod I could. I sold what i couldnt swap and returned the X back to stock. I then sold it to continue the obsession.

Fast forward to today my setup is: psc bumper sliders & fenders, evo tire carrier, arb lockers, 5.13's, rcv axles f/r, psc hydro assist, evo bolt on coilovers, teraflex control arms, j.e. reel driveshafts f/r, Ripp supercharger, atx slab wheels, 37" nitto trail grappler, and a few other small goodies.

Upcoming projects: Today i took the first step toward a very large project thats gonna be slow going... I picked up a 5.3 ls out of a 2012 gmc seirra with 1206miles on it. Next step is saving up for motech kit and extra parts.

Birthday present from my girlfriend finally showed up (2 long months later). Double d long arm upgrade.
Guess i'll start cutting, grinding, and welding in the next week or so.

well go figure, as soon as i finally start a build thread i have to have surgery for a torn pectoralis muscle. Going to be a while before i can install the evo long arm kit i just got.

On the upside i will have lots of time to track down the extra parts i need for the LS swap.

Figured it was time for an update. Did a little parts hunting online and at the salvage yard. Picked up a few thing

Found a cherry picker on Craigslist

Still have a few more parts yet to arrive in the mail though.
Next on the list is ordering the Motech kit. Plan to begin the swap and long arm upgrade after my wheeling trip at the end of month. Should be recovered enough from surgery to turn a wrench by then.

Ordering kit tomorrow.
Ready to get this thing rollin'

Started installing my evo double d long arm upgrade kit. Got the front finished up and started cutting on the rear. Bolt whole in the front bracket is a pain to get lined up. Other than that things went pretty well.

Finished the long arms on Monday and started the tear down for the up coming ls swap. Just about ready to pull the body.

Separated the body from the frame yesterday evening. For doing it in the drive way things went smoothly.
