Axle C forging

Caught the Bug
Just some feedback needed.

I may have bent axle forgings. How much of an issue will it be going forward with any other work being done?

Could this have been the cause of my previous death wobble?

Lastly, do I need to start shopping for a replacement axle?

If they are bent, you will see bad tire wear. The camber being off can also be a bent housing itself.

I personally wouldn’t put any more money into the axle until you get a replacement or a replacement housing. You can also buy aftermarket housings that except OEM internals.

Assuming your end forgings or tubes are bent, there is no point in throwing any more money at it. Bent C's will cause poor tire wear and even bearing wear. Bent tubes will cause axle seals to leak. There is NO fixing either and a replacement should be something to look into at this point.

sounds like a good time for a new axle. PR44, Fusion 4x4, etc.
