Don't think I posted in this thread. Did this a couple of weeks ago.

Time to chop that bumper!!

Haha. That is in fact next. Was going to start today, but decided to brace the fenders from flapping too much at high speed. Here's what I did.

First I cut some sheet metal (pictured later) and secured it to the fender support with some pop rivets

Then, I bent the sheet metal to match the fender.

Then I put LED slim side markers (which will be wired to duo as blinkers) using the screws to secure the fender with the support via the brace.

I also added some edge trim to give it a clean look.

So... If anyone is concerned about the fenders flapping, here is a possible solution.

Well done! Haven't seen that before.

Still waiting on the PM with the directions .

1) Take before pic of front bumper
2) Grab sawzall
3) Sever the bastard on both ends like it's the arms of a terrorist
4) Wipe the saliva from the corners of your mouth
5) Take after pic of front bumper

Finally trimmed the fenders! I used a utility knife and masking tape for cutting, and a hacksaw for the reinforcement trimming.

I laid out a pattern on one side, then used the trimmed piece to line up the cuts on the other side. Very simple, and it matches perfectly side to side.

Needed a new blade for every fender. Other than that, piece of cake.
