DISAPPOINTED with Golden Nugget Laughlin NV

Unfortunately, I didn't have the confirmation number with me at the time. Being that I booked so long ago, it was no longer on my phone email like I had assumed it would be and I didn't bring my computer with me on the trip. I know, I know, stupid me for not thinking about this potential problem but according to them - I just didn't exist in their system anyway. Well, other than on DirtheadDavis' booking :rolleyes:

Sorry you had to deal with that. Between that and Resurrection’s experience, seems like a new place is in order to do business with. Probably all cause one guy was a douche for no real reason

Customer service is a fuckin joke anywhere these days. They screw up, make it to be your fault, and have the take it or leave it attitude. Everyone figures there are other customers, so why do you matter.

I had a situation with a hotel on Pensacola Beach in October. Drove down to see my dad after he got out of the hospital for colon cancer. Didn't want to bug the poor guy by staying at his house, so we booked a room on the beach so we could hang out whenever he wasn't up for having company. Long story short, we're sitting at my dad's house shooting the shit with him, and the hotel calls asking why we haven't check out yet? Ummm WTF, we're not scheduled to check out until tomorrow. "Umm no, you were supposed to have checked out by 11am today and we need your stuff out immediately!".

So my wife scrambles to find the email confirmation, looked that dates, we were correct, they were wrong. We try explaining it to the chick on the phone, she gets irate with us, says we have 30 minutes to remove our stuff, or they'll remove it for us and toss it in the hallway and hangs up on my wife. My dad's house is a 45 minute drive from there....so we FLY to get there, haul ass inside and get on the elevator at the same time the manager is heading to our room to more or less evict us!

We plead our case, show her documentation that we are right, they are WRONG.....they didn't give a flying fuck. She flat out tells us it is our fault because we didn't double check the dates on the paperwork? I said paperwork....I'm SHOWING you the fucking paperwork that says we paid for tonight. She looks at the paperwork and then she says "oh, well we didn't even charge you the correct nightly rates, you paid less than what you should have, so you're welcome....would you like to book another room for tonight?" NO, FUCK OFF! I've never been treated so poorly in my life and made to feel like we were scum!

That’s a bummer that happened. I would definitely be upset about it also. I think I’ve stayed there with my dog before, when getting ready to run the Mojave road.
 
I think they just hate dogs there. On the flip side the place in Boulder was more than happy to accommodate our needs. Even handed out a bag with dog treats.

That really sucks, customer service has become a thing of the past and they'd rather tell a customer to fuck off as to try and offer up a solution.

I booked my room at the GN through Chase. It was cheaper than booking directly. However, the clerk charged me an additional $14 “reservation fee” when I checked in. To top it off, the toilet didn’t flush and the elevator was a dilapidated death trap.

I’ve stayed at worse hotels, but they were honest.

This sucks Eddie. It might be a lost cause or not worth your time, but I’m wondering if your CC company might be able to help you out. Seeing as you have a confirmation # and final bill showing the bait and switch. You were essentially overcharged on your CC. Dispute the charge and let them go after the hotel???

Damn that’s complete bullshit! Places like that with shit service aren’t worth giving business too. Good thing there are other hotels in the area.

To add insult to injury, I never got a response from the Golden Nugget regarding my complaint. And really, fine, whatever. BUT - today, I was going through my books like I always do and just happened to see a new $523.05 charge from guess who? The Golden Fuckin Nugget in Laughlin, NV. For what, I have no fuckin clue. And, to be clear, I had already been charged for my original booking back on the 8th of January and it had already been paid for. This new charge is listed as a "purchase" and that's all I know about it. Needless to say, I have disputed the charge and will NEVER stay at this piece of shit establishment again!

That’s a trash way to run a business. We never got our pet deposit refunded and we left that room looking like nobody had even stayed in it. Total bullshit that they’re hitting you with another charge.

I should note, I was originally thinking that my card number had been lifted but the gal at my credit card company said that the Golden Nugget used the card they "had on file".
That's fucking wild. Where in the hell (after essentially charging you twice already) do they come up with a $500 charge out of their ass? And a month after the fact? I'd want my card immediately wiped from their files - never staying there again.

Thats probably the Steak Dinner and Porn that Presley ordered.
Now that gave me a good fuckin laugh... :ROFLMAO: In my defense my room was booked under my card! I have TWO charges to prove it... :rolleyes:
