Flat tube flares, evo poison or genright?

I’m looking to swap out my mce plastic fenders for some aluminum or steel flat fenders. I’m looking at genright evo and poison spyder. Genrights look nice but damn $1700?? Most of my jk has all evo from bumpers to suspension but I haven’t seen them on a Jeep. And there is poison spyder, definitely look great! I will be going a narrow style no matter what.
 
I am not a fan of metal fenders as I have personally seen them CAUSE body damage from hard hits. It is the reason why even after 14 years, Moby is still running trimmed factory fenders.

That said, most of the fenders sold are all pretty much the same. I would get what is available and what you're willing to spend.
 
I've owned the PSC aluminum fenders. great fenders, but pricy. I'm on my second JK and decided to keep it simple the second time around. I chose the MCE fenders due to their reputation, durability and because as stated above, metal fenders will cause body damage that could been avoided with a plastic/abs option, but to each their own. There is no right or wrong.

yeah I can see that for sure. The mce fenders definitely have a lot of give for sure. Just love the look of the narrow flat fenders. Is there any difference in looks from the evo to genright or poison? I can’t seem to find any pictures of the evo fenders on a Jeep

Sounds like you are pretty set on narrow flat fenders so I say go for it. Just keep in mind the possibility of additional damage if hit hard enough. I've excepted this and run the narrow Nemesis aluminum fenders. I have to say the Poison Spider, EVO and Genright all look pretty similar overall but have their own slight variations. Genright just prices their stuff as if it was the greatest thing on the planet. MCE's are great and relatively cheap if you decide to stick with a plastic fender.

I am looking at the Metalcloak Overline fenders that allow for wide, metal fenders while on road, and no fenders when off road. They seem to be priced just slightly below what the Genright and other "premium" offerings are going for; so definitely pricey which is why I do not have them yet! Personally, I echo the sentiment of many other responders: 1) no fenders might be preferable to body damage off-road caused by metal fenders; and 2) trimmed stock fenders might be a nice intermediate selection, if you are ok with the aesthetics and can get the amount of clearance you need.
 
I was in the same boat and ultimately decided on the Genright 4” aluminum fenders. There is a beautiful JKUR I see a lot at work with the Poison Spider fenders, looks really nice! The two sets of fenders are very close in design.

The poison spyders are nice, they come with braces that brace against the tub as to not damage the sheet metal of the fenders...I've put them into trees and rocks and they have held up great while protecting the fender/quarter panels...and they are like half the price of genrights which have no internal bracing
