Same thing happened to me. Keep searching I remember someone had a real smart fix. I ended up gluing it back on and then flex-sealing the shit out of it.

Caught the Bug
I just bought a new one from the dealership for 100 dollars and it fixed my issue, no more check engine light or codes. I also wrapped it with Thermo-Tec 13575 Adhesive Backed Aluminized Heat Barrier, surface of the material is capable of withstanding radiant temperatures up to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit and handles direct and continuous temperatures up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Just in case this was due to being so close to the exhaust.
